Most of us believe that buying food without packaging is good for the environment because we don’t produce extra waste that way.<\/span> However, we often forget that food bought “in bulk” deteriorates faster and a large part of it is wasted.<\/span> On the one hand, there is talk of the harmful impact of packaging on the environment, forgetting about another, very important civilization problem, which is wasting food.<\/span> Can the packaging help in this matter?<\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The average European wastes 92 kg of food each year.<\/span> This is usually more than it weighs.<\/span> Food waste is a huge problem, especially when you think about countries where people are starving.<\/span> 1\/3 of the food produced is lost along the entire supply chain.<\/span> In the European Union alone, around 88 million tonnes of food are wasted each year.<\/span> The reasons for wasting food vary and affect every element of the supply chain, but research shows that the most food is thrown away by final consumers.<\/span> This may be due to the lack of appropriate packaging solutions.<\/span> Plastic packaging plays an essential role in the processing, storage, transport and protection and maintenance of products.<\/span> Experts believe that the right packaging solutions can help reduce food waste.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
